Project EmpowerHer is the social investment arm of Luna Lux. Our mission is to reduce period poverty in underserved and rural communities by providing dignified, sustainable period care solutions and menstrual health education.
Through every Luna Lux purchase, a percentage of proceeds goes directly to Project EmpowerHer.
Together with your support, we work to:
Distribute reusable period panties to school-aged girls
Educate girls through school-based menstrual health workshops
Provide offline-accessible menstrual education via web platforms
Engage communities in long-term menstrual equity initiatives
Why It Matters
In many African communities, girls miss up to 60 days of school per year due to an inability to afford menstrual products. This leads to a cycle of shame, lost opportunities and increased school dropout rates.
